Celebrate Easter with Busy Things

Say the word Easter and what immediately comes to mind? Chocolate eggs, Easter egg hunts, potentially the Easter bunny and hot cross buns? Same here, but there’s lots more on Busy Things that you can add in the mix that’s educational too! Such as:

  1. Our Easter topical pack, full of information about Easter, its traditions and crafts
  2. Our Easter storybooks: one for younger children; another for the older ones
  3. Our Easter activities, which focus on the events that led to Jesus’ death
  4. Our fun, interactive virtual Easter egg hunt

Below we reveal more about each of the above, so read on!

1. Easter topical pack

Our Easter topical pack is ideal for schools that prefer offline activities or want to supplement computer-based learning. Within it, you’ll find:

  • Fact sheets on the specific days within the Easter period (Maundy Thursday to Easter Monday)
  • An Easter traditions quiz
  • An egg-colouring craft activity
  • A no-cook Easter nests recipe
  • An Easter poem template
  • Some Easter-themed colouring-in templates

2. Easter storybooks

Our two storybooks explore the Easter story in a way that’s accessible for different age groups.

Younger children (3-9 year olds): A simple, engaging retelling of the Easter story, which highlights the central beliefs of Christianity. Click here to read.

Older children (9+ year olds): A more detailed version covering Jesus’ final days, his friends’ betrayal, his crucifixion and resurrection.

They are a perfect way to introduce the Easter story in a classroom setting while encouraging discussion and reflection.

3. Easter activities

Our Easter activities are ideal activities to access as you move through Lent to Easter.

There are activities based on Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday (The Last Supper), Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

4. The Busy World Easter egg hunt

A seasonal extravaganza of colour and texture, this activity will have your pupils searching high and low for different patterned eggs.

The aim is to find the egg that matches the prompt but it’s not always as easy as it sounds.

Some are very well hidden and some are even moving along with Busy Things’ characters! Stuck? Use the Clue button, situated in the top right-hand corner. It will reduce the size of the search field for you to make it a little bit easier!
